High cholesterol is a major issue with the way we live our lives in North America. In fact I’d go as far to say High Cholesterol is more of a lifestyle disorder than anything else. This Cholesterol issue being such a factor in our health I wanted to bring on an expert to help us better understand why our cholesterol seems to be high and how to naturally lower cholesterol.
One of my favourite points Rick brings up in the interview is how Rick talks about the fear of Cholesterol and how we actually need it for our body to function at it’s optimal level.
Rick Kohut – aka ‘The Good Food Guy’ R.H.N. Holistic Nutritionist, Biofeedback Technician, Responsible Farmer, Speaker, Co-author of ‘Elevate Your Health’ and founder of Health Street Wellness Store in Olds, Alberta. I live in Didsbury, Alberta, Canada. I have an amazing wife and two trouble makin’ kids!
I didn’t always love ‘good food’. Before my life as a natural health guru I was unhealthy, extremely obese and struggled with challenging digestion difficulties. I was addicted to ‘fake food’ and terrible eating habits, not to mention a high stress corporate job doing quite the opposite of what I love to do today!
Things had to change…and they did! Now I live to give what I have learned as a nutritionist – specializing in digestion and understanding modern food production to help everyone sort out today’s food choas and simplify healthier living.
